Preparation for visit to Memorial site

     The morning started with City Rally when we got a chance to get to know the city of Dachau. We had a lot of fun tasks which all included wandering around town in order to complete them.

     Afterwards, the first main activity of the IYM begun - Preparation for visit to Memorial site. We met our teamers in a room called Pavilion - Ella, Hanna and Stefan. They shortly presented us what we were supposed to discuss that afternoon. Primarily, we did an energizer in order to get to know each others' names. Afterwards, we started talking about the crucial events that led to WWII, as well as those that happened during it. We also tried to differentiate between propaganda pictures taken by Nazis and those taken by American soldiers after the Liberation in 1945.

     After being introduced to variety of new information about WWII, I realized that I would surely comprehend better why certain exhibits can be found in the Memorial site and, therefor, better understand the story behind them which i had only confirmed the following day during the visit.
